Everyone welcome, from Bard beginners to Shakespeare shamans.

Ever dreamed of acting Shakespeare? Or would you like to be able to watch one of his plays and know more about what’s going on?! ESOC Theatre Group is running a series of relaxed online workshops, where professional actor and director Sarah Blake will teach you how to understand Shakespeare by decoding his text – and she’ll reveal the 5 key secrets for bringing his work to life with energy, confidence and understanding!

Focussing specifically on exploring the hidden comic potential in Shakespeare’s lines, the first session will be the start of an ongoing series of workshops that will act as preparation for the ESOC Theatre Group’s big summer production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream – and later on this year, we’ll be looking for volunteers for both on and off-stage! So whether you want to join in with the production, or get the most out of being in the audience, join us for this fun introduction to the colourful world of ‘the Bard’. It’s Shakespeare – without the fear!
