"Shock!" is by Brian Clemens, who wrote for many British adventure series including the Avengers (in German "Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone").
In the play, Maggie, a stewardess, has invited several friends to her house in the country, to help celebrate her birthday. One by one the guests arrive: her friend Ann, another stewardess, engaged to Steve; Jenny, a next door neighbour who is later joined by her husband Peter; and Terry, a pilot and Maggie's lover.
Lastly, Andy, a nearby artist, comes in unannounced saying he has a painting for Maggie. The only problem is that Maggie is nowhere to be found. Her guests become increasingly uneasy, and tensions start to develop between them.
But if Maggie had to go out suddenly, why didn't she leave a message... or did she?
