Born Guildford, England. June 1956

Married to Moira with two sons. Daniel (1982) & Matthew (1984). Working at ESOC in the UNIX/Linux support team.

Over the years the standard of the groups I have performed with has varied widely. Some have been poor even by amateur standards but the majority of my time in the early days was spent with South Yorkshire Opera (S.Y.O.) in Sheffield who genuinely aimed for the highest standards and could be reckoned as one of the country's best amateur companies. Whatever the standard of the production, I always aim to give the best, most convincing performance I can. From its formation in 1987 my time was increasingly devoted to Harambée where I was able to move into both directing and musical direction. I served the group as Chairman from 2004 until my move to Germany in January 2009 As well as performing I also have extensive lighting experience and have experience of set design and construction, sound, costume, make-up and publicity.
