"The course of true love never did run smooth"

Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. Egeus, Hermia's father, prefers Demetrius as a suitor, and enlists the aid of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to enforce his wishes upon his daughter. According to Athenian law, Hermia is given four days to choose between Demetrius, life in a nunnery, or a death sentence. Hermia, ever defiant, chooses to escape with Lysander into the surrounding forest. But they are not alone.... fairies live there too, and the hearts of mortals are nothing but playthings for these magical beings!

Watch our actors weave their spell on you, as you are transported to an enchanted forest in far away Athens.

----------------------------

Doors will open one hour before the start of the show. Drinks can be bought from the bar, we kindly ask that you do not bring your own food or drink. There will be a food truck (details coming) where you can purchase something to eat.

The play is suitable for children aged 7+, but does contain mild references to adult themes of love and sex. Also, please be aware that in an outdoor setting, the temptation to run about in the garden might be too much for some! Please ensure your child can remain seated for the duration of the performance.

Street parking is very limited, we strongly suggest travelling via tram to either the Prinz-Emil Garten or Freiberger Platz tram stops, where it is only a 2 minute walk through the park to the gardens.

In the event of bad weather, you will be notified one hour beforehand if the play has been cancelled, via the email address you used to book your tickets. Please check before you leave your house. Refunds will be issued in this instance only. Bring an umbrella!
